Mark Calaway, better know as The Undertaker, seems to have announced his retirement during The Last Ride documentary on the WWE Network.

For almost 30 years, The Undertaker has captivated the minds of wrestling fans. Many would say, “What does the Deadman have left to prove?” “Why is he still wrestling?” “He’s too old to be doing this!”. As for me, I simply want to remember the memories he has given me. The character of The Undertaker, will likely go down as the greatest character of all time.

Over the years, he has provided countless memories. From your debut at Survivor Series 1990, when you scared many children and adults around the world. Royal Rumble 1994, you lost in casket match, and you “resurrected” to the rafters, you had us all sad you were defeated. The way you developed your character over the years. Fast forward to The Ministry of Darkness times (and the transformation of The American Badass, back to the trench coat and hat, to the mohawk, no thank you that lol. Wrestlemania 30, when you lost and entire sections of fans could not believe it. Your affect on wrestling will always be felt.

I, myself, will hold many memories close to me. Many will remember your Wrestlemania streak, to you putting other wrestlers on the map, and the respect everyone seemingly has for you in the business. My memories, just as a fan, you taking pictures with me in Austin, TX. After I had a hell of a travel day, you waited stayed around and allowed me to take my pictures, after they said you were leaving and you talked to me for 7 mins took 4 pictures and thanked me for being a fan. To meeting you again in Chicago and you talking to our whole group. Those moments, for me, as a fan meant a lot to me. I can’t say it enough, Thank You for your contributions inside the wrestling ring. Thank You for feeding my LUV for wrestling. Thank You Undertaker!
